The guest can also choose to cover it. One toggle: they pay the tip plus the fee, and the server keeps the whole tip.
Below $12.50 the $0.50 minimum applies; above it, the 4% does. Payouts open once the business links its bank and card processing is switched on.

Does this replace our POS?
No. It runs alongside whatever point-of-sale you already use. The QR code, link or kiosk is a separate, simple path to the tip — nothing to rip out.
Do we integrate with our POS?
We say plainly what connects today on the integrations page. We do not name a POS brand as a partner unless that connection is actually live.
What does it cost the restaurant?
Nothing monthly and nothing to set up. The only fee is 4% of each tip, with a $0.50 minimum, shown to the guest before they pay.
Can tips still be pooled if we want that?
The default is a tip attributed to the individual who was scanned. Split rules across a shift are a setting your business controls.
When does the money actually reach a server?
Payouts open once the business links its bank and card processing is switched on. We do not promise a settlement date beyond that.
